Digital Stops for Pipe Organs

We produce custom digital tone-generator units for adding to existing pipe organs, and a typical unit can produce just a couple of stops - perhaps as an economical substitute for a hugely expensive Pedal 32’ pipe rank, or maybe to add a selection of manual solo reeds. We also produce larger systems that add an entire division or more, including piston action facilities.

The units can be directly wired into existing pipe organ electrics, and any voltage or polarity can be accommodated. We have devised an automatic tuning system that ensures that the digital voices closely track changes in pitch of the pipes.

Built-in amplifiers are provided, which are connected to loudspeakers mounted within the organ chamber – on occasion we have been able to install loudspeakers within a swell box where appropriate. As with our complete custom organs every unit is voiced after installation to produce a close balance to the existing pipe ranks. On those occasions where we are providing an extension to a pipe rank we strive to make the pipe-digital juncture impossible to detect.
